Martin Broad: Bio

My first ever singing experience came when I decided to put on a concert for the pensioners in the Nursing Home where I worked as a manager, although I'd never sung in public before I decided I would sing in the concert, so I chose No matter what by Boyzone.

The big day arrived and I still didn't believe I was going to get up in front of all those people and actually sing, well I done it in front of my family, friends, work colleagues and strangers.

Also at this concert performing was my friend Christine Lee Jones who asked me if I could perform with her in a concert she had arranged at Neath Workingman's Club on boxing night that year, I immediately said yes and sang at the club in front of almost 350 people a very nerve racking experience when you were new at the scene. First song I chose to sing was Love won't wait by Gary Barlow, No Matter What by Boyzone then followed then I was joined by Christine and we sang Mistletoe & Wine together, I was a huge success this sparked off my career as a male solo singer in February 2000.

Since that time my career has gone from strength to strength with the help of my personal voice coach Liz Parker (who puts me through my paces), entertaining clubs, pubs, holiday parks, also singing in engagements weddings and birthday parties.

In the past I've worked with Chris Needs from BBC Radio Wales, and charity shows with Owen Money and Roy Noble, but I really would like to work with Kylie.
